Interested in becoming a volunteer driver?
Do you own your own car? Do you have free time within the week? We would be delighted to welcome you as a CommuniCARe volunteer driver.
Our drivers provide transport to medical destinations within Holmes Chapel and across Cheshire East. They provide a vital service to local residents who are unable to drive and are unable to access public transport - almost every passenger questions how they would get to appointments without the service that our volunteer drivers provide.
As a volunteer driver you
are in complete control of the frequency and type of trips you undertake;
can take a break for as long as required for holidays, illness or any other reason;
will be supported and assisted by our trip coordinators;
will be reimbursed for all fuel and parking costs;
will be given one-to-one onboarding to the group;
will be provided with safeguarding training;
will be making a huge impact on the day to day life of another local resident!
We require all drivers to ensure they have suitable insurance and MOT for their vehicle. CommuniCARe arranges and funds DBS checks for all drivers.
